Fred Rogers Productions has invited Pitt students and faculty to attend KIDS’ TV AROUND THE WORLD, a screening of international children’s programming. Inspired by the PRIX JEUNESSE International Festival – the premier gathering for content, innovation, and quality in kids’ TV -- the event will take place on Friday, October 5th at the Ace Hotel in East Liberty.
Here’s a brief overview:
· Children's television provides an amazing window into how cultures view childhood, play, learning, and growth. For more than 50 years, kids’ media experts from around the globe have gathered at the PRIX JEUNESSE International Festival in Munich to screen and discuss, share insights, and evaluate how well we entertain and engage young audiences.
· The KIDS’ TV AROUND THE WORLD screening event will showcase highlights from the 2018 festival.
· The morning session will focus on programs for children up to 6 years old; the afternoon on programs for children 7-11. You may choose to join us for the full day screening or for just the morning or afternoon.
· This event is FREE, and Fred Rogers Productions will provide lunch. But you must register in advance.
