The winners of this year's contest for the Best Undergraduate Essay in Children's Literature have been named!
Jennifer Orie won first place ($250) for her essay, "Black Children as Agents of Change in The Black BC's," written for Englit 560: Children and Culture with Julian Gill-Peterson.
Bradley Petyak won second place ($150) for his essay, "'Do I Look Like Charlie Brown to You?--The Boondocks and Child Innocence," written for Englit 1645: Critical Approaches to Children's Literature with Courtney Weikle-Mills.
